Pamela Ann Parker, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many, escaped the bounds of earth at 12:52 A.M. on Sunday, July 5, 2026, winging her way to her heavenly home.

Pamela, 64, was born on March 28, 1962, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to the late Rev. Herbert D. and Mrs. Blanche Juanita (Miller) Parker. Pamela, known simply as Pam, was a lifelong resident of Iowa, Louisiana.

Pam accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Zion Travelers Baptist Church in Iowa, Louisiana, where she served as choir member, Vacation Bible School teacher and member of both the Mission Department and Lydia Circle. Pam was a graduate of Iowa High School, Class of 1981, and after graduating, she attended Delta College. Pam was employed by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, serving many communities for 30+ years before she retired. Once retired, Pam enjoyed her days being a full-time grandmother and faithful Facebook attendee.

Pam was proceeded in death by her parents, Rev. Herbert and Blanche Parker and one brother, Hebert Ken Parker.

Pam leaves to cherish her love and memories, her only child, Shala Rochelle Parker; grandchildren, Kylah Raine Hill and Marquivan Prudhomme. One great grandchild, Markel Prudhomme. Bonus children, Devin and Michelle (Drema) Parker. She also leaves two sisters, Ingrid Juana Parker and Cynthia Robinson; one brother, Chester (Ophelia) Abram; Godchildren, Courtney Wilson, Joshua Rougeau, Jerrett Prudhomme and Mickey Allison. Longtime friends; Sandra Prudhomme, Jacqueline Gray, Glory Callihan and Elamese Hardy. Special cousin, Rachel Rougeau. Aunts; Jennie (Edward) Rious and Nancy (Frank) Wilson; Uncles; Rev. Hershey (Jean) Miller, Wilford Miller and Melvin Rougeau; Great uncle, Martin Dugas.

Pam will be deeply missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pam may have left this world, but her love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held at Zion Travelers Baptist Church in Iowa, Louisiana, on Saturday, July 11, beginning at 9am for Visitation with family and friends. Funeral Services will follow at 11am. Burial internment will take place at Eastridge Cemetery in Welsh, Louisiana under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
