Parris Donnell Duhon was born to the late Orelia Duhon Toussant and Richard Paul, Jr., on May 28, 1971, in Lake Charles, LA.  On Friday, January 24, 2025, at the age of 53, Parris surrendered to the angels that brought him to his heavenly home.

Parris was a graduate of Washington Marion Class of 1990.  He received a degree in Graphic Arts Design at Sowela Technical College.  Art was his passion and he earned numerous awards for his art work from the City of Lake Charles for Mardi Gras and Contraband Days.  He also had art work on display at the Calcasieu Marine Tower.

He was employed with the Calcasieu Parish School Board and worked at Forest K. White for 18 years as a para professional, mentoring troubled kids.  He worked at Dillards in the men's department where he excelled and became one of their top sales person.  His customers would wait until he worked to make their purchase.  Whatever the job or position, he always gave his all and excelled in everything he did.

He will be greatly missed by all that knew him and loved him

He leaves to cherish his memories his father, Richard Jerry Paul, Jr., of Lake Charles, LA; two brothers, Reginald Duhon and Brandon Gallow both of Lake Charles, LA; four aunts, Mary Duhon and Mary Wesley both of Lake Charles, LA, Sybil Davis of Beaumont, TX and Dorothy Melancon of Port Arthur, TX; one uncle, Carl Duhon of Lake Charles, LA; a special friend, Sarita Simien of Houston, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Orelia Duhon Toussant; grandparents, Lawrence Duhon and Mary Chavis Duhon; three aunts, Grace Duhon, Patricia Duhon Wolford, Gladys Chretien and three uncles, Charles Duhon, Lawrence Duhon and Peter Duhon.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., and funeral service at 3:00 p.m., at King's Funeral Home, Pastor Robert L. Owens, officiating.
