OBITUARY PATRICK WAYNE JACKO, known to his family and friends as "Pat". He was a loving father, brother and son. Patrick was a man of God who loved to sing, write, speak and act. Patrick passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014, in his home at the tender age of 30. He was born December 30, 1983, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was christened and baptized at Mount Calvary Baptist Church at a young age. Patrick became more than a member of the church. He was a part of the youth department, stepteam, various choirs and the dance team. As an adult, Patrick became a member of Throne of Grace and its music ministry. In 2002, he graduated from Lake Charles-Boston High School. He then attended McNeese State University where he pledged Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. He was currently attending Western Governors University. Patrick began to pursue his God-given talents and embraced his passion and his earthly calling. He taught himself how to play the piano, he wrote songs and authored his first book in 2007, "Destiny Driven from Pain to Promise". He also played several characters in plays such as "The True Soul of a Man", "Seeds Stops the Killing", Something Gotta Change", Sometimes Love Aint Enough", "You Can't Make Them Love You" and "Mama's Grace Dysfunctional Family". Patrick leaves to cherish his memories, twin daughters, Brielle and Brionna Jacko; his mother, Delores Jacko and father, James Myles, all of Lake Charles, La; two sisters, Tonya (Lawrence) Guillory and Lynette Jacko of Lake Charles, La; two brothers, Kevin Phills of Lake Charles, La., and David (Melissa) Phills of Lafayette, La., and his fiancé, Kimberly Williams, of Lake Charles, La. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Eva Jacko and Johnnie Mae Culpepper and his uncle, Ernest Jacko, Jr. Patrick, your family and friends will truly miss you and your vibrant smile. You were adored by many. You had dreams and aspirations many of which you fulfilled before you left this earth. You were your mother's child and your grandmother's heart.
