Paul Roland Guillory, 85, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, known to many as "Big G", departed this life on the afternoon of July 9, 2026, at a local hospice facility, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the union of Eurick Sr. and Lillian (Semien) Guillory in Mallet, Louisiana, on March 13, 1941.

Paul worked as an Operator at Hercules Chemical Refinery where he retired after several years of service. Never one to stay seated, he then began a career at the City of Lake Charles in the Public Works Department and received a second retirement. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and cooking. He was known to feed the squirrels in his yard to fatten them up and then trap them! He loved to cook and enjoyed the literal “taste of the wild”, including his yard squirrels, coons, rabbit and he even made his own moonshine! Paul was a handyman and always kept his hands moving. In his down time, he could be found sitting on the porch, enjoying the sunshine with a beer in hand, or keeping his hands busy with wood carving, which he was very proficient in doing. In the evenings to relax, Paul would watch his favorite television shows, like Naked and Afraid, The Young and The Restless, The Bold and The Beautiful and his beloved western movies.

A man full of life, Paul enjoyed listening to the Blues, Zydeco and Christian music. Above all, he led by example and prayed every night, which is remembered fondly by his children. Before his health battles, Paul was an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

He was proceeded in death by parents, Lillian and Eurick Guillory, Sr.; brothers, Albert Guillory, John Guillory, Peter Guillory and Joseph Guillory; sisters, Lou Ella LaFluer, Lou Bertha Jolivette and Lou Rita Guillory.

Left to cherish his precious memories are his life partner, Retta L. Woodard, his “Blondie;” daughters, Sharon Ann Jammer, Paula (Jerome Sr.) Alford, Tina (Kerrie) Stull, and Marla (Lloyd) Randall; Wilson (Marcella) Clayton, whom he loved and considered his son; and sisters, Lou (Harry) Lemonier and Barbara Pappillion. He will also be missed by his eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, additional relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at King’s Funeral Home beginning at 8:00 AM until the start of the funeral service at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King’s Funeral Home.
