Priscilla Landers was born March 16, 1944 in Jennings, Louisiana to the late Earl and Gladys Davis Sr. She departed this life August 30, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. Priscilla was a graduated of Jefferson Davis High School and later attended McNeese State University. She Retired from Jefferson Davis Parish School Board as the Attendance Office Secretary for over 30 years at Jennings High School. After her retirement she "Granny" devoted her time to caring for her grandchildren and later became a Foster Grandparent sponsored by the Big Brother Big Sister Organization. She truly enjoyed assisting the Teachers and staff at Jeff Davis Head Start with the care and needs of the children until her health no longer permitted her to do so. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality, Extraordinary Eucharistic ministry and the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary Court 132 were she served as Financial Secretary for many years. Priscilla leaves to cherish her loving memories: her son; Junius "Tee" (Sharon) Lyons Jr. of Jennings, LA; one Sister; Martha Seeley of Compton, CA; one brother; Ronald Davis Sr. of Houston TX; one aunt; Mary Davis of Lafayette, LA; one granddaughter; Shanna (Burk) Mouton of Jennings, LA; two grandsons, Antoine Lyons of Anchorage, AK and Junius Lyons III of New Orleans, LA; seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and other close relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother; Gladys Davis; her father; Earl Davis Sr.; her son; Gerard Lyons; two brothers; Alvin and Earl Davis Sr.; and her sister; Mildred Davis.
