Obituary

Ralph Hawkins aka Hawk or Hawkeye passed on to meet his wife in heaven at the young age of 68, in Orange, Texas. Ralph battled and fought with his health along with dealing with the heartbreak of losing his true love, Glenda Hawkins, his wife.

He was born November 21, 1950, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Laura Hawkins. He was married to Glenda Yokum in 1973, in Lake Charles Louisiana were daughter Theodosia was born. He was drafted in the United States Army in 1969, were he fought in the Vietnam War and was honorable discharged from the military. He moved to Denver, Colorado and attended Women's College while working as a supervisor at COORS Brewing Company where Ahmad his son was born. He moved back to Texas in 1986, and finished his career working for Allied Signal/Honeywell until his retirement. He never had any regrets and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed going to the casino, Glenda's cooking, watching football, becoming a collector of many things, and doing his best to be a good husband to his wife and father to his children. He was giving to those in time of need that deserved it and always expected the respect from people, if you liked or hated him.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Laura Hawkins; one sister, Lisa Hawkins; his daughter, Theodosia Hawkins and son, Ahmad Hawkins, grandchildren, Damien, Raven Ranger, Milanya, Sebastian Hawkins and his brother, Harvey Hawkins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Yokum-Hawkins.
