Raymond Charles Lastrapes , born on October 3, 1990, left this world on December 3, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, selflessness, and compassion. Charles was a beloved husband, son, father, and brother. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Charles was the life of the party, ensuring everybody felt included and cared for. He had an extraordinary ability to bring joy and laughter to any gathering, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His infectious smile and warm personality brightened the lives of those around him.

Charles was survived by his wife, Leah Lastrapes; two daughters: Adrian Lashae Prudhomme (13) and Nya'Lize Symonne Lastrapes (11); two sons: Zavion Charles Lastrapes (10) and Justice Deshawn Lastrapes (4); his mother, Mary Charlene Lastrapes, his maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Lastrapes, one sister, Raven Theresa Lastrapes, three brothers: Roman Joseph Lastrapes, Richard Allen (Kayla) Lastrapes and Cullen Dionte' Lastrapes, six step-children, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who will forever cherish the precious memories they shared.

Charles was preceded in death by his younger brother, Cody (Colo) Deshawn Lastrapes. Their reunion in the afterlife brings solace amid this heartbreaking loss.

Charles' departure leaves an immense void in the hearts of his family and friends. His absence will be deeply felt, but his spirit will continue to live on through the memories and the impact he made on those fortunate enough to have known him. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home.
