IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Recka Williams
Ii
December 6, 2002 – June 29, 2016
Recka Louis Williams II , 13, was born December 6, 2002, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Stephanie Batchan and Recka L. Williams, Sr. He was called home to gain his eternal reward from our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 29, 2016.
Recka was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, where he was a faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where he served as a Junior Knight and an Altar Server.
He attended J.D. Clifton Elementary School and Molo Magnet School, where he was recently promoted to the eighth grade. Throughout his brief but well devoted educational career he excelled in academics maintaining a grade point average that allowed him to make the Student Council, Beta Club and the Black History Stomp Team.
Recka enjoyed playing on the X-Box One and PlayStation 4 video games, listening to R&B, Rap and Gospel music on his phone and one of his favorite song was "Love Never Felt So Good" by Michael Jackson. You could often find him Googling any and everything he wanted to know, reading his daily scriptures and reading his bible. He also loved watching WWE Wrestling, NFL and NBA games on television.
He was a remarkably kind and gentle spirited young man who loved life and enjoyed brining a smile to the face of anyone he came in contact with. He had a very good sense of humor and the way he carried and conducted himself in a polite and respectful manner made a direct impact on those whom he met throughout his life. You could say he never met a stranger. He loved and valued spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary and Bernard Batchan and his paternal grandparents, Morgan and Jeanette Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Stephanie Batchan; his father, Recka L. (Keisha) Williams, Sr.; one sister, Ciara Batchan; one brother, Ryan Lee Williams; one aunt, Shaneka Williams; twelve uncles, Stephen Batchan, Morgan (Paula) Williams, Kenneth (Lena) Williams, Carl Ray Williams, Clarence Williams, Sr., Jimmy Lane (Marcie) Williams, Sr., Charles Williams, Sr., Kelvin (Latricia) Williams, Sr., Marvin (Teisha) Williams, Sr., Tyrone (Sylvia) Williams, Sr., Ivory (Chaka) Williams, Sr., and Tarvis Williams, Sr.; great-grandmother, Gertrude Fontenot; godmother, Desiree Bellard; godfather, Kelvin Williams; Paw Paw and Maw Maw Hamp and Rhonda King Frank; close friend and mentor, Darren (Regina) Green and family; and a host of other relatives and friends.
