Robert Lee Francis Sr., 72, was born in Ridge, LA, on November 10, 1946. He was one of eight children born to Nolan Francis and Leida Stevens Francis. Robert was united in marriage to Betty Delafosse and to this union two sons were born.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan and Leida Francis; three sisters Betty Jean Francis, Rose Francis and Wanda Francis and two brothers, Herbert Francis and Shelton Francis

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Francis; two sons, Robert Francis Jr. and Damond Charles Francis; one brother, Patrick Francis (Marie) and one sister, Maudry (Herman) Cructher; nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Dr. Robert Francis was drawn into the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Lake Charles Branch in the year of 1992 and met a man Dr. Henry C. Kinley through one Dr. Robert Harris and as Robert Francis said "That is when he was introduced to life." He later joined the choir and served on the local board as vice president. He said that the greatest thing that he received from Dr. Kinley is that he knew him and cast out darkness and replaced it with a brand new creature that came directly from him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home, Dr. Joseph Delafosse, officiating.
