Robert Tushone Rice Lawson , also known as Robert T, 60, was born on September 23, 1957, to Jessie Broom, Jr., and Fannie Lee Rice in Aliceville, AL. The Lord called him home on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at his residence in Lake Charles, LA.

Robert attended Carrollton High School in Aliceville, AL. After high school he joined the Army and received an honorable discharge after two years of service. He loved sports and his favorite teams were Chicago Bears and Cubs. He was a great handy man who could fix anything. He was a very lovable person and cherished his dog, Bear. He will be truly missed by his grandkids, family and friends who all got to know him.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his fiancé, Marion Leday of Lake Charles, LA; his son, Jerome Allen of Houston, TX; one sister, Lizzie Lawson-Seastrunk of Griffin, GA; three neices, Winter Lawson, of Maywood, IL, Renee Lawson of Oak Park, IL and Reynell Lawson of Broadview, IL; three grandchildren, Londyn Leday, Aironna Leday and Armald Leday all of Lake Charles, LA and a host of other relatives,  family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Fannie Lee Lawson; one sister, Jessie Handley, and other relatives, Ardelia Lawson, Willie Davis, Callie Davis, Simon Davis and Minnie Duncan.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home.
