Missionary Rosa Mae Anderson "Mama D" , was born on June 24, 1932 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the late Rev. Johnny Gaines and Madella Gaines. She went home to receive her heavenly rewards on Thursday, May 17, 2018.

She was a former member of Riverside Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. O'Neal King, where she faithfully served as a missionary and church musician for many years. She later became member of Way of the Cross Fellowship Church, under the leadership of Bishop Winston Williams, where she served faithfully as a missionary, musician, and church mother until her heavenly call. Mother Anderson was greatly loved by her church family.

She was a strong woman of God who would always help others in any way she could. She would also counsel many people with the love of God and great wisdom.

She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Rose (Ray) Jackson; one son, Jerry G Anderson; one very special granddaughter, Catrice (Winston) Williams, Gregory (Belinda) Young, Jerry Earl (Kayla) Anderson, Jr., Qjuanna "Missy"Anderson, Christopher Brown, nineteen great grandchildren including four very special grandchildren, Shawntrice Landry, LaShay;a (Lavandon) Colman, Brianna (Ronald) Gillis, Prophet Andre Williams, eight great-great grandchildren all whom she loved dearly. One sister, Lula Mae (Gaines) Louis and a host of nieces and nephews.

Missionary Rosa Anderson was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Nathan Gaines, all of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
