Obituary

Rosa Lee Demouchet March 14, 1935 – September 03, 2015 Rosa Lee Guillory Demouchet was born on March 14, 1935 in Bellevue, LA to the union of Oscar Guillory and Julia Ozenne Guillory. She was the fourth of 12 children. She resided in Welsh, LA the majority of her adult life and was well known by all in the community. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a former Grand Lady of the Ladies Auxiliary and was an active member for many years afterwards. She worked at many jobs throughout her life as a cook in a local café, a seamstress/supervisor at the local garment factory, a caregiver at Preferred Living Center, and most of all as the "Boudin Lady" in Welsh. She was known to most people as "Miss Rose" and was always the voice of reason to the neighborhood and to her family members. She prided herself as being a helper; if anyone was in need she would give her last to help them out. Family was always the most important thing in her life.

She entered into eternal rest on the morning of September 3, 2015 while living in the Jeff Davis Living Center. She will be missed but not forgotten by all who came to know her; especially by her family. Each one will always have special memories of her laugh and of her fun loving spirit. Rosa Lee leaves to cherish her memory, sons James Roland Demouchet (Ruby) of Bossier City, LA and Joseph Alvin Demouchet (Cassandra) of Mechanicsville, VA; brothers Floyd Guillory of Patterson, LA, and John Guillory of Welsh, LA; sisters Barbara Ellis of Houston, TX, and Betty Joyce Joseph of Patterson, LA; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives including nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Alvin "Red Cap" Demouchet, one son John Gilbert Demouchet, her parents Oscar and Julia Guillory; Brothers Joseph, James, Peter, Albert Lee "Robert", and Antoine "Junius" Guillory; and Sisters Patricia Cartwright and Rosa Bell Guillory.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Welsh, La., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Bon Pastures cemetery on Hwy 99 in Welsh, La., under the direction of Kings Funeral Home.
