Rosa G. Jordan , 81, departed this life on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, in her residence.  She was born June 8, 1934, to the late Theodile, Sr., and Alcina Guillory. She was a long life member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Rosa was a loving wife and devoted mother.  She had a passion for making yeast rolls and Christmas Eve gumbo.  Her hobbies were sewing, gardening and working in her yard.

Those left to cherish her memories are six daughters, Sylvia Guillory, Lola Jordan, Genevieve Jordan, Sheila Jordan, Virginia (J.C.) Chretien, Allison (Charles, Sr.) Ned all of Lake Charles, LA; one son, Vincent (Karen) Jordan of West Monroe, LA; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; one sister, Mary (Lester) Jordan of Jennings, LA and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rosa also raised three grandchildren, April (Joe) Narcisse, LaMorris (Georgia) Stanley and Shaddai (Jasmine) Stanley.

Rosa was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph L. Jordan; one daughter, Deverly Stanley; two sons-in-law, Willie Stanley and Joseph Guillory, Sr.; four grandsons, Steven Guillory, DeMonte Stanley, Cameron Guillory and Diesel Guillory; three brothers, Louis, Paul and Theodile Guillory; two sisters, Rita LeBlanc and Delta Guillory.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 8:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home and Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
