Ruby Lee Guidry, 68, entered into the Golden Gates of Heaven on September 26, 2012 at 4:30AM while a patient at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She held on to her loving daughters hands very tightly. When the Lord called her name they gently released her hand and let her go to be with her heavenly father. Ruby was a kind women and very fun spirited. Ruby would give her last to anyone with a need. Ruby was born November 20, 1943 in Eunice, Louisiana, to the late Horace and Agnes Semien Dixon. Ruby was the third child of fourteen siblings. She Married Herbert "Twin" Guidry in 1963 and eventually moved to Lake Charles where she raised her family and embraced life. Ruby was a blessed woman who dedicated her life to helping others. Ruby gratefully blessed the lives of everyone she met. Her 68 years of loving, giving, and caring for others will bring joyous rewards in heaven. After her courageous battle with Sarcoma Cancer during the last year of her life, she closed her eyes for the last time, leaving to cherish her sweet memories are her daughters; Sondra (Johnnie) Hardy, Jr and Aleisha Rious (Jermaine Guillory) all of Lake Charles, LA; five sisters and six brothers; four grandchildren; Megan Hardy, Johnnie Hardy III, Ethan Guillory, and Jermaine Guillory; two great grandchildren; Gary Guidry and Robert Guidry; a very special sister Geraldine Guillory and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her one and only son Gregory Guidry; her parents; one sister; and one brother.
