Ruth Ann Simien , 71, departed this life on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA. She was born October 16, 1947, to Leo Peter Motte, Sr. and Joyce Theresa Motte in Lebeau, Louisiana. She worked in administration with the Diocese of Lake Charles until her retirement. She loved cooking, visiting and feeding her family. She was a mother figure to many others in her life.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 54 years, Albert Simien; her children, Angela Gail Holden of Houston, TX, Albert Kevin (Candice) Simien of Lake Charles, LA, and Jennifer Ann (David) Darbonne of Lake Charles, LA; her siblings, Anita (Alfred) Guillory, Paul Motte, Barry (Rachel) Motte, and Jacqueline Autrey all of Houston, TX, Lionel Motte and Joyce Bias all of Lake Charles, LA and Sonny Motte and Ned Motte both of Opelousas, LA; eight grandchildren, Lance, Brittanie, Courtney, Devin, Chantel, Demarcus, Devonee and Marq; seven great grandchildren, LJ, Mason, Noah, De'Maria, Chason, Demarcus, Jr., and Isaiah and a host of neices, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Joyce Motte and three siblings, Leola, Clayton and Isabelle.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at 8:00 a.m, at King's Funeral Home and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
