IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sally
Lemelle
September 13, 1952 – July 17, 2025
Sally Leday Lemelle, 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, at a local care center. She was born on September 13, 1952, to Odelia Guillory and Joseph Leday in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Sally worked at Robinswood School, and her hobbies included gardening, and roses were her favorite, cooking and baking for loved ones, watching television, and spending time with family.
She was a caring and loving person. If she thought you were a good person, she would give you her last. She was the type of person to tell you about yourself, then smile, laugh, and make jokes afterwards. She had a smile that would light up the day, it was so bright. Her laugh was so distinguishable, you could tell it was Sally laughing in a room with a thousand others.
Sally was preceded in death by her mother Odelia Guillory, her father, Joseph Leday, brother Anthony Leday, daughter Kishia LeMelle, and her ex-husband Jimmy LeMelle.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three grandchildren Jamie Jack, Justin LeMelle, and Aerial Godette, eleven great-grandchildren, one sister, Cinderella Jones, and several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other family and friends.
A time to celebrate her life has been scheduled for Thursday, July 31 with visitation beginning at 9am at King's Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 11am. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
