Sally Ann Cook Nelson, 67, departed this life on Thursday, March 12, 2021, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.  She was born October 25, 1953, to Edmond Cook and Annie Mae Richard Cook.  She worked at Cotton's Famous Hamburgers, Peggy's Superette and Lake Charles Care Center.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Roy Lee Nelson, Sr.; one son, Roy Lee Nelson, Jr., (Roselind), two daughters, Acquilla Regina Thurman (Kelvin), and Antanette Renee Wright all of Lake Charles, LA; siblings, Bertha Caeson (Linwood) of Ypsilanti MI and Edmond Cook (Ann) of Ann Arbor, MI; nine grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond Cook and Annie Mae Cook; four sisters, Joan Scott, Fannie Denson, Ruby Cook and Betty Clark and one brother, Samuel Richard.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at  10:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Orange Grove Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
