Sampson "Sam" Simien Jr, 61 of DeQuincy, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He was born on December 15, 1964, to the union of Shirley Bias and Sampson Simien Sr.

Sam was a lab instrument technician and worked at Rain CII. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle, cooking, helping others and being a handyman. There was no person Sam wouldn't lend a hand to; he truly was a special man.

He was preceded in death by parents; Shirley and Sampson Simien Sr. and brother; Harry L. Simien.

Left to cherish his precious memories are wife, Nicole Simien; children, Santana Cezar, Nicholas Simien and Cameren Simien; grandchildren, Gabrielle and Savanna Cezar; siblings, Sarah Simien of Houston, TX, Anita (Eugene) Tipton of Nashville, TN, Roy (Mary Ann) Andrus of DeQuincy, LA, Ennis (Pam) Simien of DeQuincy, LA, Regina Simien of Manvel, TX, Gwendolyn (Norman) Chapper of Lake Charles, LA, and Lois (Kevin) Ward of Kansas City, KS, along with a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 8:00 AM until 10:15 AM with a rosary beginning at 8:45 AM at King's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Services entrusted to King's Funeral Home of Lake Charles, LA.
