Samuel Francis King was born in Washington, La., on February 5, 1911. He departed this life on November 4, 1984, at 5:04 p.m.

On November 23, 1927, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Julia Linton King, and to this union twelve children were born.

Mr. King had lived in Lake Charles, La for the past 26 years where he was a faithful member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Julia King; four sons, willie and Raymond King both of Lake Charles, Richard King of Compton, Ca., and Dalton King of Nashville, Tenn.; eight daughters, Mrs. Joyce Thomas and Mrs. Zela Mae Valentine both of Lake Charles, Mrs. Anna Belle Critain of Port Author, Tx., Mrs. Verna Mae Antoine of Port Author, Tx., Mrs. Ruby Robinson and Mrs. Florita Harris both of Beaumont, tx. Mrs. Mary Alexander of Orange, Tx., and Mrs. Patsy Self of Baton rouge, La.; one brother. Gaudy King of LaCombe, La; 41 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and four daughters-in-law, eight sons-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
