Obituary Samuel Paul Richard, 66 departed this life September 21, 2015, in a hospital in Houston, TX. Samuel was a native resident of Lake Charles, La. He grew up as a member of Warren United Methodist Church. He served his country and was a United States Army Veteran. He graduated from Washington High School where he was a member of the Mighty Indians football team and attended Southern University. Samuel worked many years at Firestone, KCS Railroad and R&H Construction. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was loved by all he met and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Terry James, Sr., and Viola Mott Richard. Survivors include his wife, Gustavia Bilbo-Richard of 17 years; three children, Samuel (Ayanna) Gatson of Houston, TX, Christopher Richard of Beaumont, TX and Lateesha Whitely of Nashville, TN; two brothers, Terry James (Donna) Richard of Beaumont, TX, Bryan Joseph (Cynthia) Richard of Missouri City, TX; four sisters, Carolyn Ann Lockett of Missouri City, TX, Beverly Ann Goodly, Constance Marie "Connie" Richard and Stella Louise Richard all of Lake Charles, LA; four grandchildren, one Godson, Ronald Goodly, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015, at 9:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home and Funeral Service following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
