Kelly Guillory was called home on November 05, 2013 at 11:48pm to be placed in the loving arms of his creator. Kelly was born on December 22, 1934 in Gueydan, LA., to Arthur and Beatrice Guillory. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and lived most of his life in Lake Charles, LA. Kelly retired from the United States Army as a Sgt. First Class in 1972. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, and completed 3 combat tours in the Vietnam War. He received several awards including, The Army Commendation Medal, Saigon Reese Medal, U.N. Medal Combat Infantry Badge with Star, 12 Good Conduct Medals, Bronze Star, Purple Heart Second Award, Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Silver Star, and several Battle Stars. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Dora Guillory; daughter Kathleen Guillory of Miami, Fl.; 4 step-children; Debra LeCompte, Linda Malbrough, Ray (Catherine) Malbrough all of Lake Charles, and Stanley Malbrough of Houston TX.; two brothers; Herman (Sharon) Guillory of Dallas, TX. and Arthur Cooper (Pat) Guillory ; three sisters; Agnes Leger, Josephine (Harry)Odom and Rosemary Briggs all of Lake Charles, and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, relatives and friends. He was proceed in death by one daughter; Cynthia A. (Guillory) Shorter, one step-son; Joseph (Tony) Malbrough, one brother; Gilbert Guillory of Cleveland, OH and his parents; Arthur and Beatrice Guillory.
