Celebration of the Life of Shenah Elaine Fountain
Being true to yourself is the greatest gift you can leave to the world.
God gave us the gift of life; it is up to us to give ourselves the gift of living well. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend.
Shenah Elaine Fountain was born on Saturday, June 23, 1962 in Cameron Louisiana, to the late Roosevelt Sr. "Schoolboy" and Bertina Jones Fountain. She was the fourth of twelve children born to their union.
She was a faithful and dedicated employee of Thrifty Way Pharmacy in Cameron for over 20 years. She was also employed by Omega Protein as a Marine Dispatcher.
After receiving her safety certification; she began working in the Oil Refineries of Calcasieu Parish. Her latest position was an Admin Crane & Rigger for McDermott, formerly CB&I.
She was a life-long resident of Cameron, Louisiana prior to Hurricane Rita. She was a 1980 graduate of South Cameron High School, where she played Basketball and Softball.
She lived a life loving and caring for others. She was free spirited, humorous and selfless. She met no strangers. She greeted you with laughter and a smile. Shenah's greatest love was her family. Although she was not a mother by birth, she loved and cared for her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. Nothing was too good for her family and friends. She was very outspoken, mostly done in love. She had a passion for the elderly and those in need.
Shenah, 56 years of age passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at her residence.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving mother; Bertina Fountain; fiancée Joshua Allison; Five sisters, Shirley (Roy) Ellison, of Grand Lake, LA, Patricia (Dennis ) Coleman, Orange, Texas, Bessie Fountain, and Rachael Michelle Fountain of Lake Charles, LA and Tina Fountain of Baton Rouge, LA; six brothers Roosevelt "Jabo" Fountain, Jr., Troy Fountain, Alan (Yolanda) Fountain, Dexter (Farrah) Fountain, Ronnie (Courtney) Fountain, and Dwayne Fountain all of Lake Charles, LA. She had a special bond with Rachael "Lucy" Fountain, Elijah, Trey, Brianna, Isabel, and Addison; the list goes on of those whom she loved dearly. She also leaves aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her hero, her father, Roosevelt "Schoolboy" Fountain, Sr.
Her funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Trinity Baptist Church, 1800 Country Club Road, Lake Charles, LA. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service at Trinity Baptist. Pastor John C. Doyle III, 7

Street Baptist Church, Port Arthur, Texas will officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles, LA under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
