Sherron Delafose, 54, departed this life on August 8, 2024, at her residence in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Sherron was born on August 14, 1969, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Rodney and Audrey Gradney Delafose.

Sherron worked at Zelis Healthcare as a Carrier Relations Specialist, but her love was cooking the best Cajun cuisine, and shopping for the latest fashions and boots.

She leaves to treasure her memories one daughter, Ajani Nicole Gurvin, and one granddaughter, Aniyah Nicole Walker of Woodstock, Georgia. Also mourning her passing is one brother, Emray (Jocelyn "Joy") Delafose of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; one sister, Jackie Elaine (Karen) Delafose of Evergreen, Colorado; nephews, Eric (Charlita) Delafose of Lake Charles and Derek (Sherrill) Delafose of Gonzales, Louisiana; nieces, Shawna (Michael) Mitchell of Houston, Texas, Joy Nicole Delafose of Yardley, Pennsylvania, Stephanie (Nino) Etienne of Killeen, Texas, and Samantha Williams of Houston, Texas; best friends Tasha, Monica, Melanie, Regina, and Delandra; her former spouse, Eric Gurvin, and a host of relatives and friends.

Sherron was preceded in death by her parents Rodney and Audrey Delafose, and sister Sheila Williams.

Visitation services will be on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 9:00am, followed by funeral services at 11:00am, all being held at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 300 North Blake Street, Lake Charles, Louisiana.
