IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sheryl Ann
Charles
August 30, 1951 – January 25, 2025
Sheryl Ann Charles was born on August 30, 1951, to the late Roberta and Andrew Gallien, Sr. She was a life-long resident of the "Carshop" area of Lake Charles.
She was married to Chester Charles, Jr., for 53 years. Their union produced three children: Temikia (Jimmy) Strout, Natasha (Michael) Guillory, and Omar Charles. She was MoMo to five grandchildren: Jason Guillory, Sydney Strout, McKinzey Guillory, Noah Guillory, and Mason Strout. She was sister to: Janice Harps, Cynthia Gallien, Annette Gallien, Donna Gallien, and Darryl (Brenda) Charles.
She was preceded in death by: Chester Charles, Jr., Andrew "June" Gallien, Kimmey Jean Napoleon and Roberta Gallien.
Sheryl had a loving and compassionate soul. She was devoted to her family and loyal to her friends. Her selflessness was inspirational. She always put the needs and happiness of others above herself. She did the impossible for the ungrateful. She did so much for so long with so little that she mastered doing anything with nothing. She was a way-maker and protector. She was resilient, strong, and strong-willed. She was honest yet onery. She was outspoken yet never outdone. She was small in stature but mighty in heart and courage. She was our rock, guiding light, and biggest cheerleader. She was extraordinary. She was our Ma, MoMo, Sister, Auntie, and Sheryl Ann.
