Simon W. Taylor was granted his angel wings on January 30, 2016.  His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.

He was born February 27, 1934, to the late Elowishas and Semonia Taylor.  After graduating high school, he enlisted in the military and was honorably discharged as a U.S. Army Veteran.  He spent most of his life in California and to the delight of his family returned home in 2008.

He leaves to mourn two daughters, Sandra M. Cormier ( John) of Lake Charles, La, Karan F. Taylor of Las Vegas, NV and Cassandra Campbell of San Francisco, CA whom he raised as a daughter; one son, Kenneth Taylor of Imperial, CA; a very special nephew, Armna "Mano" (Jessica) LaSalle of Lake Charles, La; two brothers, John Harold (Gloria) Taylor of Marina, CA, and Alfred "Bill" Taylor of Lake Charles, La; three sisters, Cornelia (Wilbert) Miller of Sacramento, CA, Mary Maudry Bracey of San Francisco, CA and Linda Cooks of Lake Charles, La; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of family & friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Taylor;  four sisters, Eva Jackson, Mary Brown, Mary Curry, and Jeanette Pitre; one grandchild and one great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016, from 8:00 a.m., until Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m., at King's Funeral Home.
