Stephanie Rose Chachere , 54, departed this life on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at her residence in Lake Charles, LA. She was born on January 16, 1963, to the late Merril Chachere and Carol Chachere in San Francisco, CA. She worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant until her retirement.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Carol Simien Barfield of Lake Charles, LA; one son, Michael Jacobs, Jr., of Lake Charles, LA; one daughter, Briana Jacobs of Lake Charles, LA; one sister, Cheryl Chachere Ballou (Cedric) of Waco, TX; three grandchildren, Michael Jacobs, III, Zion Jacobs and Sydelle Jacobs and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Merril Chachere; maternal grandparents, Aaron and Bernadine Collins; paternal grandparents, Alton and Wilda Chachere; stepdads, Rockin Sidney Simien and Lawrence Barfield.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home.
