Sylvia Denise Coleman , a beautiful angel, was born on December 31, 1963, at 11:45 p.m. to the late Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester and Willie Coleman. This special gifts was Sylvia Denise. Now he has recalled the same give to come to Glory to live, pain free, sick free, tear fee and worry free forever and ever….
Sylvia attended Cherry Street Elementary and Pearl Watson Middle and the 1981 Class of Washington High School. She was baptized at an early age in the English Bayou under the leadership of Pastor J.J. Davis of Church of God now known as Saints Memorial.
Sylvia enjoyed fashion and clothing designs as it showed in the stylish way she presented herself so beautiful and elegantly. She was one of the models of Southern Flashers where they tour and did fashion shows locally. She moved to Baton Rouge, La., in 1996 to pursue her dream where she became the Owner of two lucrative clothing stores, Da Fox Shop Boutique and Foxy's Boutique.
Sylvia is the ever endearing mother of one son, Mr. Dorian D. Coleman-Godfrey and the loving sister of a host of siblings, her brother with the union of her father and mother, David A. Coleman, half-brothers, Sylvester Coleman, John Coleman, Floyd Coleman and Ronald LaVergne. Half sisters are Brenda Lafanette, Genia Lee, Sheila Broussard, Betty Larce Citizen and Eula Webb-Willis. Evangelist, Ida Farmer, is a loving woman whom Sylvia met when she moved to Baton Rouge, La., who loved and cared for Sylvia as she was her own daughter. She will also be missed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and friends.
On January 10, 2016, at 9:05 a.m., the Lord sent his angels to usher her soul to her eternal home.
She is preceded in death by her father, Mr. Sylvester Coleman, Sr.; grandmother, Katherine Brown and half brother, James Coleman.
