IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terence Raoul
Honore', Sr.
May 3, 1956 – February 14, 2024
Terence Raoul Honore' 67 of Lake Charles, Louisiana, affectionately known as Terry, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 14, 2024, after an extended illness. His loss has profoundly saddened his family.
Terry was born on May 3, 1956 to Dorothy M. Honore' and Anthony R. Honore' in his beloved Chicago Illinois. He was one of five children, Anthony, (late) Angelo, (late) Candace, and Philippe better known as Phil. His family moved back to their home roots of Louisiana in the early 1970's.
Terry later met and married Cynthia "Cyno" Gallow Honore, who he referred to as his "Jolie" which is the joy and beauty of his life. They were married for 42 years and from that union two children were borne Terence (T.J.) and Matthew (Matt). Terry attended Louisiana State University, and was a lifelong industrial and refinery worker, holding a variety of positions and was known as an attentive and committed team leader. He took extreme pride in his family, work, and responsibilities, which is reflective of his Catholic upbringing, and reverence for God.
The most remarkable aspects of his life were his ability to relate to anyone; he never met a stranger; and his natural skill of uniquely crafting jokes that were both timely and hilarious was his legendary mark and forte. He was a man in which, after meeting him once you would never forget him. He could not back away from lively discussions regarding topics that captured his interests. He was a lover of great cuisine, held a passion for restored classic cars and trucks, and he was a connoisseur of the perfectly balanced Tanqueray cocktail and together with Cyno he thoroughly enjoyed hosting family and friends in his home. Terry was loved, and will be greatly missed.
He leaves to mourn his beloved Cynthia Gallow Honore' of Lake Charles, Louisiana, his two children, Terence R. Honore' Jr. and fiancé Skyla Rivera of New Orleans, LA, Matthew R. Honore' and fiancé Whitney Moore of Lake Charles, LA, his brothers, Anthony, R. Honore' Jr. and wife, Carol of Chicago, IL and Phillippe N. Honore' and wife, Cynthia P. of Lake Charles, LA and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy M. Honore' and Anthony R. Honore' his sister, Candace O. Honore' and his brother Angelo P. Honore'. He will be missed by a host of family and friends.
