Terry Lynn Carvin Claridy, 50, departed this life on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, in Lake Charles, LA.  She was born September 10, 1965, to the late Obin Carvin, Sr., and Ledgia Landry Carvin in Lake Charles, LA.

A native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles, LA, she graduated from Washington High School in 1983.  She was a faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and was employed with the Calcasieu Parish School Board and Brenda Hunter Headstart.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Ledgia Landry Carvin; three children, Tommy Claridy, Jr., (Dolly Evans), Terrance Claridy (LaSheka Bell),  and Tamara Claridy (Kelly Okoracha) all of Lake Charles, LA; one brother, Erely (Jackie) Carvin of Lake Charles, LA; four sisters, Azella Carvin Bennet, Joyce Carvin Davis, Lisa Carvin (Lorce) Rigmaiden and Sherri Carvin, all of Lake Charles, LA; 8 grandchildren, Jamal, Jamarcus, Landen, Logan, Carson, Cayson, Joseph, Kaylee and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Obin Carvin, Sr., three brothers, Obin Carvin, Jr., Curtis Carvin and Roderick Francis; one nephew, Kaylon Jackson and one niece, Stephanie Carvin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at 8:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at True Light Baptist Church, Pastor Braylon Harris, officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
