On October 5, 1961, a son was born to the late Henry Lloyd and Lillie Cormier Thompson. He departed this life on October 31, 2014 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital at the age of 53. He was a joyful member of Refuge Temple Ministries for many years. He was a native of New Iberia, LA. Terry shared his parents with 10 other siblings: Attorney Theodore R. Bobb (deceased), Alvin R. Bobb (deceased), Cynthia C. Lefluer (deceased), Henry Cormier, Catherine C. Keys, Kevin and Douglas Cormier, Monique and Darlene Cormier, and Michael Lloyd Thompson. Terry was educated in the New Iberia Parish School System. After graduating high school, he attended Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. He was an employee at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for 25+ years in the Dietary Department. Terry leaves relatives and friends to rejoice his home going, to honor his memory, and to mourn his "passing on": two children, Lucinta Shelton and Jamaal (Lisa) Shelton; four grandchildren; three sisters; four brothers; aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, one sister, two brothers, aunts and uncles.
