Thelma Cecile Frank was born to Vera Mae Wilson Frank and Clifton Frank, Sr. on November 8th, 1947, their first born, in Dequincy, LA. The family resided in Dequincy, LA.
After Vera deceased, Clifton moved his family to Houston where they resided for several years. Thelma attended elementary school and Wheatly High School. During her junior year, they returned to Dequincy, LA where she attended and graduated from Grand Avenue High School. She later relocated to Lake Charles, LA, where she attended Sowela Technical Community College and earned a CNA certification. She worked at several nursing homes.
She developed a love for preparing meals and returned to Sowela Technical College where she earned a certification in Culinary Arts. She then worked at several restaurants. Thelma loved cooking and entertaining family members. She was a fantastic cook.
Thelma was baptized at an early age at a Baptist church in Houston, Texas. She was a former member of Love Community Mission, Dequincy, LA.
Thelma transitioned to her spiritual home on January 27th, 2026, at the age of 79.
Thelma was preceded in death by her spouse, Charles Celestine; parents, Vera and Clifton Frank, Sr.; and daughters, Charlotte and Charlene Frank.
Thelma leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Raymond Frank (Sethretta) of Atlanta, GA and Todd Frank (Natasha) of Dequincy, LA; sisters, Billie Jean Buck of Humble, TX, Ivory Jean Dorsey of Atlanta, GA, Gwen Chapper of Lake Charles, LA, and Patricia Senegal (Nolton) of Rayne, LA; brother, Clifton Frank, Jr. (Paula) of North Carolina; grandsons, Brannon Frank, Trelyn Dispany and Kironn Peters; granddaughters, Brayla Frank, Journey Frank, Keziah Frank, Keturah Frank, and Kenisse Peters; and great-grands, TreLan Dispany, Jr., Isaiah Frank, Messiah Frank, Journey Frank, and Nova Frank and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 7, beginning with Visitation at 8am in King's Funeral Home Chapel, and continuing with funeral service, officiated by Pastor Mark Sanders, at 10am. Burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
