Theodore Leroy Lampkin, Jr. was born March 3, 1948, to the late Mary Belle Lampkin and Theodore L. Lampkin, Sr. in Lake Charles,  Louisiana.

"A Time To Live"

"Junior," as he was affectionately called by his family, was  baptized at an early age at the  Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  He was a graduate of W.O. Boston High School, Class of 1967.  He entered into active duty in the United States Army on August 23, 1968 and was released from active duty with an Honorable Discharge on August 20, 1971, spending some of that active duty service in Vietnam.  He was employed by the Coca Cola Bottling Company in New Orleans, Louisiana and the City of Torrance, California Government, retiring from both jobs.   He resided in Inglewood, California.

Junior leaves to celebrate his life and memories, his children--   Tara Letrice Lampkin of Inglewood, CA;  Theodore Leroy Lampkin, III and Tanicia LaToye Lampkin of Slidell, LA; granddaughter Kalea Jean and great-granddaughter Mylani Reign Twyman of Inglewood, CA; four siblings,  Jesse (Whelmenia) Mayo of Colorado Springs, Colorado; James Mayo of Lake Charles, LA; Nelda Jean (Hillary) Broussard of Dallas, TX; and Joslyn Marie Lampkin of Lake Charles, LA; one uncle (Ret.) Col. Anthony J. Polk (Teresa) of Manassas, Virginia; one aunt, Agnes Mayo of Lake Charles, LA; three godchildren, Bridget Gaines of Slidell, LA,  Journel Brual, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA and Margo Dickerson-Taylor of Bossier City, LA; a Special Friend, Pattye Paynes of Fort Worth, TX; Life-Long Friend, Walter Smith of Lufkin, TX and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Belle Lampkin and Theodore L. Lampkin, Sr., sister Jacquelin Ann Lampkin Thurston, grandfather, Sam Mayo; grandmother, Edolia Stephens; uncles, Richard Mayo, Bobbie Mayo Sr. and Eddie Mayo.
