Theresa "Bay" Carrier-Lawson was born August 24, 1928 to Allen and Lucile Carrier in Opelousas, Louisiana. Theresa moved to Lake Charles with her parents where she was raised and attended school in the Lake Charles ISD. Theresa was a faithful lifetime member of Immaculate Heart Catholic Church. She was a former employee of Henry Heights and Combre Elementary Schools and the Women's Shelter. Theresa "Bay" is preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Lucile Carrier; brother, Joseph Carrier; sister, Gladyce Wilson and her beloved son James "Boobie" Earl Lawson.

She leaves 10 children to cherish her fond memories; 5 sons, Eddie Lawson, Ronald "Kenny" (Marie) Carrier, Freddy Lee Baker, Jeffrey (Pat) Carrier all of Lake Charles, LA and Donald "Popa" (Elanie) Carrier of Texas City, TX; 5 daughters, Pamela Lawson-Stevens-DeJean and Theresa "NeeNee" (Kenneth) Martins both of Texas City, TX, Cherlynn Carrier, Robin (Gordon) Carrier and Jacquelin "TeeDee" (Mark) Lawson all of Lake Charles, LA; 3 sisters, Joyce Simon, Patsy Richardson, and Betty Simpson all of Texas City, TX; 1 brother, Herbert Carrier of Texas City, TX; 39 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family members and friends.
