Theresa Bordelon Lambert passed away peacefully on September 3, 2016, while surrounded by her loving family. As a young woman in Iowa, LA, Theresa Bordelon met the love of her life, her soul mate, John Nathan Lambert. On July 31, 1948, they exchanged their vows of Holy Matrimony and at this point they began their life's journey together.
Theresa Bordelon Lambert is survived by ten amazing children and one daughter-in-law from her son Jonath Ray Lambert Sr. that went to glory before her: Johnnie Bailey, Rena Lambert Moore, Katherine Lambert Moore, Teena Lambert , Nina Lambert Newton, John Nathan Lambert, Jr, and Ernest Lambert all of Houston Texas and the surrounding areas. Winnie Mae Hartman of Lake Charles, LA, Daughter-in-Law Laura Bernard Lambert of Lake Charles LA, Abbie Joseph Lambert, Sr. of Lafayette LA, and Lionel Blaine Lambert, Sr. of Columbus GA.
Theresa and John Lambert as the fruit of their union gave this earth eleven children. The eleven and their individual spouses continued to flourish this earth with thirty-seven grandchildren for Theresa to give her love and wisdom to. From that thirty-seven came forth and abundance of great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Theresa was blessed with a long life which gave her the ability to see her family grow and become a strong influence within each of their lives. With never a dull moment in the Lambert household, Theresa's life was fulfilling in caring for the husband and children she loved dearly. She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother on many levels and a friend to many. She was a Christian woman and had a strong belief in God.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. and funeral service at 11:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 310 N. Sarah Street, Welsh, LA, Father Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Loraine Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
