On Sunday, November 16, 2014, God sent an Angel of Glory to escort Theresa Rideaux away to her heavenly home, a land that is free from sickness, sorrow and pain.

Theresa Rideaux was born May 28, 1947 in Basile, LA to Adam and Lorena Guillory. She was a graduate of Vinton High School. Theresa was united in holy matrimony to Mr. June Sonnier. To this union one child was born. They lived in wedded bliss for 11 years until his death. Later she found love again and was married to Mr. Adam Rideaux for 40 years until his death. They were blessed with two children. Because of her love for family, Theresa adopted two children. She was employed by Stine Lumber Company in Sulphur until she retired. She loved church and attended every Sunday. She also loved being around family, cooking, zydeco and taking in everyone she met. She was very caring, never met a stranger. If she came in contact with you, she took you in as family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouses; three sisters, Rosella Willis, Roseamary and Linda Guillory; four brothers, Kelly, Joseph, and Jean Guillory.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories, yet realizing God called her; one daughter Dawn (Chris) Yokum, four sons; Billy (Debra) Sonnier, Larry (Wanda) Guillory, Terry Guillory, and Kevin (Keri) Guillory. Her companion of 6 years Mr. Clenny Pitre. ten grandchildren; Jena Savoy, Tate Guillory, Lexi Guillory, Gabby Guillory, Kenndey Guillory, Ja'Kayle Sam, Tonja Johnson, and Sonja (Tim) Wolfe, Four great-grandchildren; Treniece Victorian, Lloyd Higginbotham, Devin Higginbotham, and Christian Johnson. One great great-grandchild; Brantley Mathews. Four sisters Rita (Dillard) Ross of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Lorena (William) Thomas of Illinois, Charlotte Guillory of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Charlene (Alvin) Glass of DeQuincy, Louisiana. Two brothers Leroy Guillory of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Robert (Marjorie) Guillory of Sulphur, Louisiana. Nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of very dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014, at 6:00 p.m, at King's Funeral Home and funeral service on Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
