Timothy Joshua Laws

Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on, and cherished memories never fade because a loved one's gone. Those we love can never be more than a thought apart, far as long as there is memory, they'll live on in the heart.

Timothy Joshua Laws, 54, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016, in his home surrounded by family. He is the son of the late Ernest Joseph Laws and Geneva Mouton Laws who taught him to trust and love the Lord.

He was educated in the Calcasieu Parish public and private school system. He was a Prison Ministry teacher, prayed and read his Bible daily.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Laws and his father, Ernest Joseph Laws.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Geneva Mouton Laws; two children, Jasmyne M. Johnson of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Jamaal Johnson of Detroit, Michigan; five grandchildren,  Je'Leyah, MarKhajah, Logan, and MariAnna all of Lake Charles and DeAndre of Atlanta, Georgia; play-brother Dennis Daniels and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:30 a.m., at New Emmanuel Baptist Church, with Rev. Roland Mouton, Jr., officiating.  Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
