Vernon David Feast, Sr. was born the fourteenth day of March 1956 to Wilkins Feast, Sr. who preceded him in death, and Anita A Feast in the city of Lake Charles, Louisiana. He had one brother Wilkins Feast Jr., who preceded him in death.

He accepted Christ in 1978 at the Greater St. Mary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Samuel C. Tolbert. Vernon then joined the Mount Calvary Baptist Church in 1998 under the leadership of Pastor Elmore Garner. He participated in the Annual Men's Day Observance Choir. Vernon was an employee of Wal-Mart Super Center for almost ten years.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Cynthia Carter Feast, one son, Vernon David Feast Jr., one daughter Tashawna Nicole Feast, one step-daughter, Jodi Lewis, all of Lake Charles, Louisiana. One brother, Kenneth Feast of Lake Charles, four sisters: Stephanie Turpeau, Jacqueline Royal, Mona Spencer, and Phoebe Feast, all of Lake Charles; one grandchild, three Godchildren, James C. Royal, Brian J. Feast, Joseph Watts, Jr, all of Lake Charles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family.
