Reverend Junior Victor Schlesinger departed this life on Saturday, December 11, 2025, at local nursing facility in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was born January 24, 1952, to Nealer Mae Walker and Junior Victor Schlesinger, Sr. and resided in Lake Charles, Louisiana, most of his life. He was ordained as Minister of the Gospel by the late Reverend King at Riverside Baptist Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana, in 1987. He continued his membership at Riverside Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. Lee Wilson. He loved fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nealer Mae Walker and Junior Victor Schlesinger Sr., adopted daughter, Schandrilla Schlesinger; sister, Olivia O'Brien; and grandchild, Braylon Butler.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Victoria, Jessica, Junior Victor III, and Alexander Schlesinger, and Monika Dixon-Leger, whom he raised as a daughter; eighteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brothers, Richard, Michael, Gary, and Anthony (Stephanie) Schlesinger, and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 9:00AM until 11:00AM at King's Funeral Home. Funeral Service to begin at 11:00AM at King's Funeral Home, with burial and Military Honors to follow at Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
