Vincent Richard received his wings and departed this life at the age of 79 on Wednesday, September 23, 2015.  He was a native of Church Point, La., and is the son of Edmond and Hester Richard.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mildred Richard; two sisters, Vera (Charles) Benard of Lake Charles, La., and Georgia Carmouche of Lafayette, La; three daughters, Phyllis Richard and Veronica Richard of Lake Charles, La., and Felicia Richard of Durham, NC; one son, Vincent Richard, Jr. of Worchester, MA; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edmond and Hester Richard.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 8:00 a.m., funeral service at 11:00 a.m., with a rosary at 10:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home, Deacon Joseph Bushnell officiating.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
