Virginia "Viney" Bilbo-Brignac , 51, departed this life on Thursday, February 18, 2016, in the comfort of her home from natural causes, with her sister, Emily Bilbo, by her side.

Viney was born in Lake Charles, LA on June 26, 1964, to the late James and Margaret (Dartez) Bilbo. She attended Marion High School and worked as a caregiver at Moss Bluff Manor for a number of years. This became a job that she felt passionate about. She loved taking care of her elders. Viney and Walter Brignac, Jr., entered into matrimony at a young age, however, they later dissolved their marriage.

She is survived by her companion of 10+ years, Michael Tillis; two sons, Walter (Monica) Brignac, III, and Lymon (Ericka) Brignac; two daughters, Mamie and Mary Brignac, all of Lake Charles, LA; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild; five brothers, Albert (Dooney) Pattum, Sr., of Lake Charles, LA, James C. Bilbo, Jr., of Houston, TX, Melvin Green of Houston, TX, Jewel Green and Clivis Green of Lake Charles, LA; six sisters, Geneva (Darryl) Brignac, Emily Bilbo, Matilda (Tony) Green all of Lake Charles, LA, Linda (Richard) Spence, Pat (Joseph) Carmen, and Carol Bilbo all of Houston, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Nortley (Arment) Dartez and paternal grandparents, Lymon (Mattie) Bilbo and her parents James (Margaret) Bilbo.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. John Dartez, Jr., officiating.
