Beatrice (Walter Beatrice) Dixon, 81, was born to Walter Cole and Gussie Smith on February 2, 1940 in Glemora, Louisiana. She was a homemaker the majority of her life, but later worked at Howard Johnson Motel in Lake Charles. She loved cooking, watching television, and talking on the phone with family and friends. She was a faithful member of the Greater St. Mary Baptist Church, where she served as a Deaconness.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband George Dixon, Sr., their children: Joyce Simmons, Betty (Phillip) Simon, and Beatrice Marie Dixon, all of Lake Charles;  Geraldine(Cranston) Dorsey, Tempy (Mark) Leslie, and Alvin (Lory) Dixon of Las Vegas, Nevada; her siblings: LeeRoy Martin, John Denngard, Earnest (Velma) Carter, Leon Brown, and Gloria Vital of Lake Charles; her 12 grandchildren, and a host of great grand children, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Cole and Gussie Smith, her son George Dixon Jr., and two brothers Aaron Cole and Richard Brown.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home.
