On Sunday, May 4, 2014 Wanda Augustus entered her heavenly home at a local hospital at the age of 60. She was born on June 9, 1953 to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Booth in New Orleans, La. She lived in Lake Charles and was a graduate of McNeese State University. She was an educator at Sacred Heart Elementary and Calcasieu Parish School Board prior to working at Christus St. Patrick Hospital most recently as a PBX Operator. She leaves to mourn her husband, William York Augustus Sr. of Lake Charles, La; two sons; William (Brynell) Augustus II; Gary (Angela Cole) Augustus of Lake Charles, La; two sisters; Villa Marie (Darrell) McGee of Punker, Ok and Lynette (Fred) Craft of New Orleans, La and a host of great grandchildren, grandchildren, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her biological parents; Walter Booth and Willie Mae Booth of New Orleans, La and the maternal parents; McKinley and Bessie Jones Walter Booth Jr and Sheila Booth, Willie Booth and granddaughter Paige Johnson of all of Lake Charles, La.
