Obituary

Webster "Webb" Vital , 63, left this world to be with the Lord on February 24, 2018, at Rosewood Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Lake Charles, La., to the late Louis and Celeste Vital. He was a 1973 graduate of Washington High School where he excelled in football, basketball, and track. He was one of the best running backs that walked the halls of Washington High. He was known for his love of all sports and knew how to play all, so we have been told. He was employed by Chennault Industrial Air Park until his retirement in 2015.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Rose Augustine Vital; three sons, Randall Smith of Hammond, La., Brandon (Geri) Vital and Kendrick Vital all of Lake Charles, La.; one daughter, Brandi Nicole Vital of Lake Charles, La.; three brothers, Louis Vital of San Francisco, Ca., Charles Vital of Lake Charles, La., and Roy and (Therlina ) Vital of Oakville, WA; three sisters, Louise Vital of Westlake La., Janie (James) Outlet of Oakland, Ca., and Josie Vital of Lake Charles, La.; five grandchildren, Adriuna Sterling, Canaan and Raven Smith, Kaydence, Dylan and Korie Vital and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Celeste Vital and two brothers, McCoy and Jerome Vital.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018, at 8:00 a.m., and funeral service at 10:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lorraine Cemetery in Hayes, La., under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
