Obituary

Wesley Joseph Cline , 47, died after a long sickness December 12, 2022, at a Fort Worth, TX hospital.  He was born September 24, 1975, in San Diego, CA, the son of Raymond Allen Cline, Sr. and Iris Mary (Clophus) Cline.

The family relocated to Fenton, LA, the hometown of Iris, in 1979.  Wesley attended Westwood Elementary, S.P. Arnett Middle School, and graduated from Westlake High School, Class of 1996.  Wesley was on Westlake High's football team until his senior year.  Following graduation, he worked for the Isle of Capri Casino in Westlake as a barback.  He moved to Lubbock, TX where he worked as a barback again.  After several years in Lubbock, where he made a host of friends, he moved to Fort Worth, TX.  He worked as a custodian for the Bridville Independent School District until he was forced to retire because of his doctor's order.  Wesley was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, he belonged to a club of Dallas Cowboys fans "Hard hittahz DFW".  The members had a balloon release in his honor on Sunday, December 18 th .  At one of the Cowboys games, Wesley met a gentleman from the UK.  When the gentleman found out of Wesley's passing, he did a tribute to him on his radio broadcast.  Wesley made a lot of friends that have called and told us how much he touched their life and how much they loved him.

In addition to his paternal and maternal grandparents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Allen Cline, Jr. and uncles Gregory Cline and Melvin Rolls, Jr.  Surviving in addition to his parents, are his sister, Monique Andrea Michael) Tanner, his nephews Jordan D. Cline (Angelina), Christopher A. Cline (Erisha), and Nicholas J. Cline.  His great nieces Kyleigh G. Cline, Angel J. Cline.  His great nephews Jordan D. Cline, Jr., Roman J. Bernard, and Christopher A. Cline, Jr. His aunts, Irene D. (Sam) Gregory of San Diego, CA, Laura Woods of Houston, TX, Sharon Rolls, Lynn Rolls and Alma Robinson of Kansas City, MO and Peggy Cline of Kansas City, KS.  His Uncles Jannas (Beverly) Clophus of Houston, TX, Murphy (Eva) Clophus, Jr. and Michael (Bridget) Clophus of Fenton, LA, Sidney (Phyllis) Rolls of Richmond, VA and Tyrone Cline of Kansas City, MO and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services, under the direction of Kings Funeral Home, will be held Friday, December 23, 2022 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Westlake, LA from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.  Mass will begin at 12:00 pm.  A rosary will be said at 11:30 am.

Repast will follow after the Mass at American Legion, 2510 Westwood Rd., Westlake, LA
