Wifred J. Labbe, Jr . was born on September 29, 1956, to Wilfred J. Labbe, Sr. and Gustavia Bilbo Richard in Lake Charles, La. He was the oldest of six children. He attended W. O. Boston High School in Lake Charles, La. He was an active member of the Boston Panther Band and was an extremely talented drummer. He graduated from W. O. Boston High School in 1974. After high school, "Big Wil," as he was passionately referred to, worked as a Warehouse Supervisor at Home Furniture and a foreman at the Mallard Cove Golf Course where he was a dedicated employee.

Big Wil enjoyed dressing in the latest styles and trends from head to toe! He was one of the best dressed men in the city. He was an avid pool-shooter and enjoyed going out on the town and dancing. While providing great food at family cookouts, he enjoyed listening to music. He was a "neighborhood mentor" and you could find "Uncle Wil" toting many other kids, along with his own.

He leaves to mourn his dear caregiving mother, Gustavia Richard; his father, Wilfred Labbe, Sr.; three sons, Wilfred J. Labbe, III (LeNassa), Donald Ray Celestine (Katrina), Jerald Labbe (Tasha) and his nephew, Channing Copeland, whom he reared as his own; two brothers, David and Michael Duhon (Carolyn); three grandchildren, Kailin, Brayden, and Grayson and six others who adored him as a grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Vanessa; two brothers, Jerome and Llewellyn and his stepfather, Samuel Richard.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home.
