William "Bill" Rene' Sr., transitioned from this life to the next on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the age of 83, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 8, 1938 to the late Austin Rene' and Audrey Durrouseux in Lawtell, Louisiana.

Bill was employed at PPG Industries, where he retired after 30 years of service. He was a founding member of United Christian Fellowship Church in Lake Charles, and also Destiny of Faith Church of Lafayette, Louisiana, where he served faithfully for the past twenty years.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Mary Rene', his children: Cathy Rene', Lake Charles; Gerald Rene' and William Jr. (Chrissie) Rene', both of Slidell, LA; Craig (Juanita) Guillory and Cresenthia Bushnell, both of Lake Charles; Cherice Rideau, Lafayette; CaTina Rene', Lake Charles; Ken (Mary) Lazard and Terry (Lisa) Lazard, both of Lafayette; Ronald (Lori) Lazard, Humble, TX; Penny (Lucius) Crosby, Katy, TX; Mechelle (Chris) Narcisse, Fayetteville, NC; and Shawn (Dwight) Lewis, Lafayette;  and sister, Delores Dyer of Chicago, Illinois. He also leaves 32 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Austin Rene' and Audrey Durrouseux, brother, Austin Dyer, sisters Ruby Bartlow and Margie Walls, two grandsons, two nephews, and two nieces.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held on December 18, 2021 with visitation at 8am to 11am and funeral following at 11am, at United Christian Fellowship Church. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
