William Walker , 84, departed this life on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at his residence in Lake Charles, LA. He was born on August 28, 1932, to the late Oveal Walker, Sr. and Catherine Rice Walker in Branch, LA.

He was employed with Lake Charles Stevedores as a longshoremen for over 40 years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, working on his truck and repairing his rent houses.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Willie R. Walker, (Juanita), Connie Tutson, (Elisha), William E. Walker, (Christina), Greta F. Walker and Lewis A. Walker, Sr; one sister, Maudry Wilridge; one brother, Oveal Walker, Jr; nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oveal Walker, Sr., and Catherine Rice Walker; his wife, Victoria Walker; three brothers, Henry, Earl and Heard Walker and three sisters, Helen Coleman, Gladys Mayes and Martha Wildridge.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., and funeral service at 2:30 p.m., at King's Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jeremy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
